We understand that all child care programs in Alberta have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and we will continue to advocate for you and your child care program during this difficult time.

As part of this work, we are trying to estimate the fixed operating costs (not including staffing) that child care programs are still required to pay during the period they are closed. We hope to use this information to develop a possible proposal to the Government of Alberta for some form of temporary emergency funding support for child care providers that will enable them to meet these costs.

This survey is intended for those programs that are currently closed. Other survey and advocacy work will be undertaken to support those centres that have opened to support essential workers as well as approved family day home providers.

If you are not the director or licence holder of your program, we ask that you share this survey with them to be completed.
