Fastoche COVID-19 Screening Tool & Screening from Home

Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak, we have been working closely with our colleagues in early learning and have been actively following policy and governmental changes on the provincial and national level. We've been rolling out features and changes for our customers to navigate and manage this challenging time.

In response to new government screening requirements, Fastoche has developed this free tool to help centres manage the additional workload. Our commitment to early learning extends beyond our customers, and we hope this tool can help ease some of the stress child care centres are currently facing.

Update: August 26, 2020

We are pleased to share some news today. We know that the number of families returning to child care is increasing every day. We have been rolling out a number of features since April to help our customers manage the challenges of this pandemic. One key area we have been doing a lot of work is in supporting daily screening of children and families. As you may know, we released a free version of our app so that all child care centres could leverage our technology.

Our team has been working on ways to bring more of the features of our full software to those using the free version of our app. Today we enabled screening from home, which has been available in the full software for some time, for all users. With this option, families can receive a link on their cell phones to complete their child’s questionnaire daily, providing significant time savings on arrival. For those still using paper questionnaires, this will allow them to eliminate paper and the many touch-points that come with it.

We are committed to helping all child care centres, not just our customers, navigate this unprecedented time and will continue to look at ways we can provide assistance.
