The Making of a Resilient Child

In nurturing resiliency-based skills early on in life, you proactively guide your child, or the children you work with, towards living a life of courage, authenticity and passion. This course focuses on practical skills to help your children develop GRIT, to foster a Growth Mindset, to enhance social and emotional intelligence, and to face life with braveness, kindness, and gratitude. Compassionate Discipline

This course will begin with an overview of neurological development of children and how this accounts for their struggles with emotion regulation and impulse control. A thorough overview of attachment will be covered: parents will be able to identify and comprehend their current attachment style with their child, how that impacts behaviour, and how to strengthen the attachment should their be issues with connecting. Registrants for this session will receive the book The Word Collector by Peter H. The Power of Play

In this course you will learn to understand children's play and the benefits to using (and encouraging) play to help children develop resilience. Strategies on how to engage with children in their play to help them overcome issues related to anger, sadness, trauma, difficult transitions or behavioural issues will also be explored. Registrants for this session will receive the book Happy Dreamer by Peter H. Reynolds*


Following live air times, the recording link will be sent the next business day after the session and will be viewable for 30 days. Session cost is $20/session or $50 for all three. Sessions will be delivered via Zoom with the link being forwarded to the email you used to register the day prior to the session.
