Practical Classroom Strategies for Helping Children with Emotional Regulation

Educators often have the important job of helping children to emotionally regulate. A child’s anger can be emotionally and physically draining for everyone involved. This workshop will empower educators to proactively and warmly help children during these challenging moments. The workshop will begin with an overview of the neurobiological and developmental roots of aggression, followed by an exploration of triggers that cause dysregulation, with a final in-depth focus on relationship based tools and strategies designed to nurture wellbeing and regulation in a child.
