The School Age Care Directors Association of Alberta (SACDA) invites all members to submit an application for nomination to run for election for a two-year term on the Executive Board of Directors.
All positions are up for election this year. Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be a SACDA member in good standing
- Must have demonstrated experience, leadership and active involvement in regional, provincial or national childcare/early childhood organization(s)
SACDA is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in all its work, and strives as an organization to ensure its governance is representative of Alberta's ELCC workforce and sector and to collectively serve ECEs, families and children of all origins. We strongly encourage all qualified candidates of diverse populations to apply.
The Executive Board
SACDA's Executive Board meets monthly via webinar/conference call and at least once per year in-person, which may require travel. Terms are for a period of two years. SACDA's Executive Board is responsible for the governance, strategic visioning, evaluation, and public relations of the organization. Our bylaws require that a minimum of 5 Executive Board positions are filled at all times. At minimum, we must have a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Director at Large.

Nominations for SACDA's Executive Board will be presented electronically to the membership for their consideration prior to the AGM. Voting will be done electronically on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Instructions will be provided closer to the date.
