“Students with ADHD in the Classroom: Research-backed Strategies for Educators” is a workshop brimming with the latest research on attention based disorders. The course begins with an exploration of the nuts and bolts of ADHD (and children who struggle with attention-related issues): the diagnosis, common misdiagnosis, treatments and alternative treatments. The focus then shifts to understanding the neurology of ADHD, exploring developmental perspectives, and explaining the controversy that still surrounds ADHD. The second half of the course discusses various classroom strategies geared towards helping children with ADHD thrive. Educators will walk away with a full “tool-box” of tools and resources to use in the classroom
