Engagement Strategy - Phase 1 Webinar Registration

With funding support from the Alberta Early Learning and Care Leaders Caucus (ALC) and the Ministry of Status of Women, the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta (AECEA) will be engaging early childhood educators across Alberta to learn more about this critical workforce. AECEA will share its vision for a future in which well-qualified, well-compensated early childhood educators (ECE) are respected as professionals, valued for their important work, and supported in providing high-quality child care for Alberta’s children and families.

AECEA sees a future in which early childhood educators

  • earn a living wage—with a pension plan and good benefits;
  • work is valued by their employers and peers, by other professionals, by the families they serve and by society;
  • work in supportive environments and see their profession as a viable and rewarding career path;
  • have opportunities to improve their education and professional learning and to advance in their field;
  • have a voice in their professional organization and opportunities for advocacy on issues that affect them; and
  • are valued as a public investment made for the good of all society.

Building this future means transforming Alberta’s early learning and child care workforce into a profession. It also means building a child care system that better supports your needs.

In an effort to reach as many educators who work in the ELCC sector across the province, AECEA is launching another way to participate in our community consultations as part of our engagement strategy. We will be hosting several webinars in the coming weeks to provide information about the work of AECEA, to share our plans for the future, and most importantly, to gather your voices.

Even if you are participating as a group, we require each individual to register. View the flyer here.

Dates and times for the webinars are:

  • Thurs, April 18 1:00-2:30 p.m.
  • Wed, April 24 1:00-2:30 p.m.
  • Thurs, May 2 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Sat, May 4 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
