Alison has worked and volunteered in the profession of Early Childhood Education for 25 years in early learning child care. She holds a diploma in ECE and will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, as of spring 2026.

Alison is deeply committed to advancing professionalism, quality, and equity within Alberta’s early learning and child care sector. Her background encompasses extensive experience in child care licensing, family day home agency administration, and the coordination of ministry-funded projects. She has provided coaching and mentoring to early learning programs, supporting educators and leaders in building capacity and embedding high-quality, reflective practice. Through these roles, I have developed strong competencies in governance, strategic visioning, and collaborative leadership qualities that directly support AECEA’s mission to elevate and empower early childhood educators through advocacy, professional recognition, and ethical leadership.

She is passionate about fostering inclusive and responsive environments where diverse educator voices are valued and represented in decision-making. My understanding of provincial legislation, policy development, and community partnerships positions me to contribute meaningfully to AECEA’s strategic and governance work.
