This six-hour training will equip professionals working with children and families with essential trauma-informed principles that can be seamlessly integrated into their practice. Participants will deepen their understanding of the prevalence and profound impact of trauma while learning to adopt a trauma-informed approach in their work. The training will focus on developing practical skills to deliver services that emphasize emotional and physical safety, client choice, and collaboration.
This one-day session will include examples and strategies to support professionals who work with children and families in early learning environments, school settings, family support programs, etc.

- Define trauma and understand the different types of traumas.
- Identify the signs and symptoms of trauma.
- Understand the impacts and effects of trauma.
