AECEA represents early childhood educators (ECEs) who work with children in a range of licensed and regulated settings, including day care centres, preschools, out-of-school care programs and family day homes. Individuals who support the work of early childhood educators are also eligible for membership; these members include post-secondary faculty and students in the early childhood education field. Organizations that support AECEA’s goals are eligible for membership as non-voting associates.
Become a Member
Your voice matters. As a non-profit, member-based society, it's tough to stress just how important it is for you, as an early childhood educator, to support your provincial association and have a voice on issues of importance to you. The Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta (AECEA) depends on the size and strength of its membership to allow it to engage, plan and advocate for system changes and further public investment in the early learning and child care sector.
Connect With Your Colleagues
People want to connect, feel less alone in their struggles and hear about new and innovative things that are happening in early childhood education. AECEA hosts AECEA Connect sessions to make space for this sharing and to provide some direction regarding questions we have been hearing.
