As a busy parent, you need quality child care to help you balance your family and your career. Quality early learning and child care provided by caring, qualified early childhood educators lets you feel confident that your child is being prepared for the world. Quality doesn’t just happen on its own. In any field, quality is a function of a well-planned, well-funded system.

Learn More

On November 20, 2020 the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta (AECEA) launched three portals for parents, early childhood educators, and the general public. Each portal includes a video, showing what quality looks like in early learning and child care (ELCC), and resources for individuals to learn more about quality in ELCC. The videos and resources were funded, in part, by the Community Initiatives Program (CIP) with a project-based grant. To report back to CIP on the impact of the videos and resources, we welcome any and all feedback you may have. Thank you for your support!

AECEA would like to thank The Community Initiatives Program (CIP)  for the Project-Based grant awarded in 2019 to create resources and videos on quality child care for parents, early childhood educators, and the general public. AECEA would also like to thank the Alberta Early Learning and Care Leaders Caucus for their assistance and support in the creation of the videos and resources and the Terra Child and Family Resource Centre, Glenora Child Care Society, and the Jasper Place Family Resource Centre for allowing us to film at their locations.
