ARCQE is pleased to share that it has joined forces with Health Canada in bringing a new professional learning series focused on environmental health topics to guide educator practice in providing healthy early learning environments for children. Learning objectives supported through these new offerings reflect the following:

To recognize health exposure issues related to chemicals and pollutants in your environment, including potential hazards to yourselves and children in your care.

To identify and take actions to prevent and reduce health risks to yourselves and children in your care, from exposure to chemicals and pollutants at early childhood education settings.

To utilize Health Canada's tools, products and resources to increase your awareness of health impacts related to environmental health factors, including chemical management, radon and air quality.
This professional learning series is delivered in two parts, supporting information pertaining to 4 modules as follows:

June 26th: Module 1: What Are Chemicals?

July 3rd: Module 2: Chemicals and Pollutants in Early Childcare Settings

July 10th: Module 3: Radon

July 17th: Module 4: Outdoor Air Quality and Conclusion
Release Time Funding is available for this workshop but attendees must complete attendance to all 4 sessions in order to qualify.
