The Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta (AECEA) and the Edmonton Council for Early Learning and Care (ECELC) have been working on a community-engaged, qualitative research project to explore ways to achieve workforce stability for Alberta's early learning and child care (ELCC) sector.
The first Compensation Framework Report was released in February 2023. Over the summer of 2023, focus groups with owner/operators were conducted to ask about the wage grid, philosophy, and non-salaried compensation.
