Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement (ARCQE)

Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement (ARCQE) offers an expanded and improved system of supports for early learning and child care programs interested in implementing the Flight Early Learning and Care Framework.

ECEs can access training and resources to support implementation of child development screening processes through the application of the Ages and Stages Questionnaire screening tools (ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE-2). Evidence shows that the earlier development is assessed – the greater the chance a child has to reach his or her potential. ECEs are in an optimal position to observe and guide responsive interactions and support relative to developmental outcomes identified in the screening process.
