ECEs to access training and resources to support implementation of child development screening processes through the application of the Ages and Stages Questionnaire screening tools (ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE-2). Evidence shows that the earlier development is assessed – the greater the chance a child has to reach his or her potential. ECEs are in an optimal position to observe and guide responsive interactions and support relative to developmental outcomes identified in the screening process. ECEs working with children under age six are able to support a child’s unique needs during this incredibly sensitive period of growth and development and to support parents in their child rearing roles with additional strategies in supporting individual child needs. Access to training on the two screening tools, refresher courses, screening kits, tools, training materials, project newsletters and other related resources to support and enhance implementation of an agency wide screening program will be provided.
RTF paid upon completion of each of the various workshop levels (hours varies by workshop type).
