ELM Pedagogical Pathways 2024

Event Date
Thu, May 2 2024, 5:30pm - Fri, May 3 2024, 4:30pm

In partnership with MacEwan University’s Bachelor of Early Childhood Curriculum Studies program , Pedagogical Pathways 2024 brings early childhood educators together for two days of interactive workshops, featured speakers and inspired reflection.

Children are imitators, listeners, speakers, readers, authors, illustrators, inventors, actors, performers, dancers, builders, music and art makers as they participate within their worlds. When educators listen for and learn the range of children’s living experiences and imaginative possibilities, they make meaning of the emergence of children’s literate identities within the community. We invite you to engage with us to explore and reveal the many ways children express and represent their evolving selves.

Early Bird: $325

Regular: $375

*Early bird rate is valid until April 3rd

*Application deadline is April 26th

To offer equal opportunity, at this time we will limit the number of attendees from each organization to 2-3 individuals. There is the possibility of exceptions to this (dependent on applicant numbers). Please reach out to organizers if you would like to discuss an exception.

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
