The curriculum explores how to use observation and the play space to create responsive environments and activities to support children’s learning, individual needs, and a sense of belonging.
Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- recognize how to use observation and listening strategies to co-create responsive environments and supportive learning activities with children.
- recall observations of children’s play using various documentation tools.
- identify how play supports children’s learning and development.
- identify meaningful activities and indoor/outdoor or natural spaces for play and learning based on the child’s dispositions to learn as well as their needs and curiosities.
Please note that if you are not yet ECE certified, this program does not meet the requirements for obtaining ECE certification.
